What type of culverts do you sell?
We sell both corrugated metal pipe (CMP) and corrugated plastic pipe (HDPE & HDPP). The metal pipe can be either round or elliptical, and the plastic can be perforated and socked.
What does a culvert cost?
Culvert cost depends on the size and type purchased. As you would expect, corrugated metal pipe fluctuates with steel prices and plastic pipe is subject to fluctuations in the oil and gas industry. Give us a call. We will gladly you give a price over the phone or a free written estimate.
What size culvert is the best to buy?
The best size to buy is the size as stated on your permit. Culvert size is based on the water flow they are in place to handle. And most culvert placements require permitting by local or state authorities. That permit will describe the culvert size and specs you need for your project. In the event your application does not require a permit, you will need to know the volume of water flowing to determine the proper size to purchase.
What is meant by elliptical or arched metal culvert pipe?
Elliptical or arched culvert pipe is metal pipe that is squished in the manufacturing process so that looking at it from the end it is no longer round but oval. For instance a 24” round pipe becomes a 20” by 28” elliptical pipe; thereby allowing for 24” of water volume in a 20” high ditch space.
Which is better, metal or plastic culvert pipe?
Both metal and plastic corrugated culvert pipe are quality products. Generally, the permitting or engineering process will determine which type culvert pipe is needed for your specific application.
What is the difference between HDPE and HDPP plastic culvert pipe?
HDPE culvert pipe (often called “black pipe”) is manufactured using a high density polyethylene polymer that is corrosion resistant. HDPP culvert pipe (commonly known as “gray pipe”) is manufactured using a high density polypropylene polymer that is slightly harder and more heat resistant. Both are quality corrugated pipe products.
What length does a culvert pipe come in?
Generally corrugated culvert pipe is sold in either 20ft or 30ft lengths. However can be cut into shorter lengths or manufactured in custom lengths depending on your specific needs.
Do you sell culverts for residential or commercial use?
